Guardian Advocate Baker Act Training: Session 1

Our Guardian Advocate Training gives you the knowledge to ensure Baker Acted patients are treated properly and fairly.
The training takes place over two sessions. Session 1 covers the first set of material for the training while Session 2 covers the final set of material. All instances of Session 1 and Session 2 are the same. This means that you may mix and match when you would prefer to take the two sessions. To have completed the training and become a certified Guardian Advocate you MUST complete both a Session 1 training and a Session 2 training.
This free course on patient rights and knowledge of the Baker Act certifies individuals to serve as temporary surrogate decision makers for involuntarily hospitalized client. Those who have attended this training are welcome to interview to be a Guardian Advocate for Baker Acted individuals in their community with no family to act on their behalf.
