Privacy Policy

The Mental Health Association of Central Florida values the trust its donors place in the organization and adheres to the highest standards in gathering, using and safeguarding customer information. This includes all of the donor’s personal and gift information. Because of this trust, the Mental Health Association will not rent, trade, sell, or share any information about its donors.
Within our organization, access to confidential information is limited to those who need it to perform their jobs. We have physical security in our building, restrict access and require passwords to protect our network, applications, files and databases.

We allow access to your information to auditors only as mandated by regulatory requirements. Upon request, we will remove your personal information from our database, except where legislation or regulation requires our retention of it (example, charitable giving history tied to income tax receipts). Mental Health Association of Central Florida Consumer Policies

I. Grievance Procedure:
Complaints and grievances can be submitted in writing to the Mental Health Association of Central Florida (MHACF) by emailing Charlotte Melton, VP at cmelton@mhacf.org or Marni Stahlman, CEO at mstahlman@mhacf.org. Additionally written comments can be physically delivered to the main office, 1525 East Robinson Street, Orlando, FL 32801 attention to either Charlotte Melton or Marni Stahlman.
Concerns will be reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. All written complaints submitted will be kept on file including details about MHACF’s response and any actions taken. Regular review of these records will be done by MHACF to influence policy change as applicable.

A grievance can be filed with Central Florida Cares Health System (CFCHS) by electronic reporting can be done via CFCHS website

II. Service Eligibility (regarding residency)
It is our agency intention to provide the community open access to services. In no circumstance shall an individual’s county of residence be a factor that denies access to service
provided by the Mental Health Association of Central Florida.

III. Cost of Service
Individuals seeking services from the Mental Health Association of Central Florida will not be denied solely due to an inability to pay. Services provided by MHACF are free to the
community.
